7월이 오면

 

7월이 오면      When July is come   나는 하루 종일 향기로운 풀섶에 내 님과 함께 앉아 솔바람 부는 하늘에 흰구름이 만든 눈부신 궁전을 바라보리.   그녀는 노래하고  나는 노래를 지으며 온 종일 달콤한 시간을 보내리니    아무도 모르는 풀섶 우리 보금자리에 누워 오, 인생은 즐거워라, 유월이 오면.　   'When July is come'  then all the day I'll sit with my love in the scented hay; And watch the sunshot palaces high,  That the white clouds build in the breezy sky. She sings, and I do make her song, And read sweet poems the whole day long:   Unseen as we lie in our haybuilt home  O life is delight when July is come.　         When I was small And Christmas trees were tall We used to love While others used to play Don't ask me why But time has passed us by Some one else moved in from far away ** Now we are tall And Christmas trees are small And you don't ask the time of day But you and I, our love will never die But guess we'll cry Come first of May The apple tree that grew for you and me I watched the apples falling one by one And I recall the moment of them all The day I kissed your cheek And you were mine ** Repeat When I was small And Christmas trees were tall do do do do do do do do do Don't ask me why But time has passed us by Some one else moved in from far away
